Unlike virtually every other religion, the more educated a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the Mormons) is, the more active in their religion they tend to be. I choose to affiliate myself with that group because they seemed to be the most rational of all the other religions -- at no point did they ever say something which seemed silly like, "What, you think it doesn't make sense? But that's the beauty of it!" I was given a challenge. Read the Book of Mormon then pray about it. If there was a God, then I would receive some sort of response. If there wasn't a God, then I wouldn't receive a response. Formulate a hypothesis -- establish it as a question. Make a prediction. Experiment and see whether the prediction was correct -- did the hypothesis hold together? I believe that God is real, miracles still happen, etc.
