Passwords are okay, impulsive Internet isn't (dedoimedo.com)

I don’t like how pushy some sites are getting with passkeys. Amazon forced it on me one day. On other sites I try to login using my password, but first need to dismiss a bunch of passkey stuff.

It still feels like there are far too many edge cases that passkeys don’t cover, and they’re being pushed on a public that doesn’t understand them. Logging in shouldn’t feel like magic. The second a user hits an edge case, it’s going to be painful.
