There are some specific requirements here in AU/NZ for battery home storage, AS/NZ 5139 2019, and I think another update last year. In short, cant be in the way of or next to an egress, window, or door. Cant be in a habitable space or other enclosed area like attic, roof, wall, or crawlspace. If near habitable space it must have fire resistant material (cement board, steel, etc) between the two and 0.6-1m around the battery.
