Finding time for side projects as a fulltime dev

How do you manage your time building side-projects while working as a full time dev? For the past months I’ve been working for 3 hours prior to my regular job and 3 hours after. But honestly, it’s such a stress for mind and body. Any tips?

- Consistency is key. Do something every day, although 6 hours is a lot extra. You'll be draining yourself.

- Don't forget to take free time ( eg. gym, ...), don't drop everything for your sideproject. Socials matter.

- The hardest thing is to start. So before I call it quits, I consider a task to do next. And the day after, I just start working on that and get into a continuous flow.

Good points, I guess what you're saying is to build a small momentum and just keep it going (without overdoing it)?

Consistency is key. There could be days that you'll have a lot of hours.

But you need to set a minimum threshold / day to see real and hard progress ( eg. Meeting customer deadlines is harder, because it's not always what you want to be working on)
