Ask HN: What drives you mad on a regular basis

And you can’t believe no one has sorted it out yet.

I want Delphi/WinForms for the modern web age. Not as a service - an IDE that builds my application and I deploy it as I see fit. Something that lets me drop down to code when I need it, but doesn't require me to do it for every other normal thing.

Personally I am a big fan of anvil.works, although they deploy your application for you. I think self hosting has become an option recently, though.

Keeping things focused to technology, I suppose: Android Auto in my car. Two things that drove me nuts recently, all in a single 10-minute trip:

1. I pulled over and started typing an address. The car screen helpfully displayed a message - as it does every time - that I can use my phone's keyboard. This message completely blocked half of the on-screen keyboard, so I could not type out an address until it faded away.

2. I hit play on the music app, and my phone started playing the music out if its speakers.

The prison/legal system in the United States. It's so bad that even my rights (100% outside of the system) are being severely abused.

White flashing when starting some Windows applications with dark mode enabled. It's jarring!
