Talking about IP geolocation with no mention of peerings, AS or BGP is suspect.

The company does provide AS data via some API, so i wonder about the reasons why it was left out of this blog post.

Hi, I am the DevRel of IPinfo. Every time I mention this blog anywhere, I will preface it by saying, it is bit on light on technical details. Hence the usage of various examples like sonar, bat and stuff like that.

We are going to write a followup to this blog which is going to be more technically heavy. The core purpose of this blog was an intro to a series of blog's on IPinfo's IP geolocation methodology.

You can throw us a checklist if you want for the followup article. We are trying to make internet data as a concept as approachable we can, any feedback or any topic you want us to cover will be greatly appreciated.
