The last several years I've been having a "gut feeling" that the times we live share some similarities to the early stages of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. But it's been bothering me and I've been trying to better formalize my thoughts while slowly taking in more data. This presents an interesting perspective and a framework from which to view the cultural macro-trends around us.
Not sure I agree with the article 100% on the details, but I generally agree with the broad strokes of the cultural/political/commercial trends it attempts to draw together.
Assuming the author is correct in their assessment, the next question becomes "But what can be done?"
