Assuming this is indeed the holy grail of superconductivity... can someone with knowledge on manufacturability of these materials, suggest a prediction of when the specific LK-99 material would be ready for mass production? Is it ~3 years from now or more like ~15 years from now?
I'm not what you're asking for, but almost certainly closer to 3 than 15. If it's the real deal, I imagine we have industrial capacity to make a superconducting material within 5 years. The required supplies are readily available, and while production of this particular material seems difficult, there's like a whole new field of materials to find, with very strong incentives. China would love to lead the world in a new branch of material science.
