China Covid: Shocking protests are huge challenge for China's leaders (bbc.com)

What funny is as recently as 6 months ago NPR was pushing a narrative that all the people were fully on board with being treated like cattle, forced to test daily and if positive spend weeks on end in a traumatizing mass quarantine center, where 1000s were forced to share a single bathroom and there was no privacy at all.

I guess NPR’s sources aren’t that pristine after all.

… is it a surprise that after 6 months of the above people are tired? Do we now need sources that can also time travel?

But they were totally fine with it for the previous year and half?

One of the people they spoke to said something to the effect of “I really appreciated the gov looking out for us, and it wasn’t so bad living in the deep end of an emptied Olympic sized pool, where they never turned the lights off and people were using their phones at full volume 24/7”

China took the joke a little too serious. Now its people are suffering because of it.
