Let's Encrypt played a tremendously important part in furthering HTTPS everywhere.

One might argue that it was the right idea at the right time, and someone else would have come along and done the same thing.

But I can easily see us still being stuck with expensive and cumbersome to provision certificate systems.

The closer I get to 40, the more anxious I grow after reading stories like this. Guess I can just let it motivate me to appreciate those in my life and push me towards achieving goals.

Rest well Peter.

By all means please let it motivate you to get regular cancer check-ups. I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from the side of my nose a few years ago. I recently went to a dermatologist for something different and was told that I should be coming in at least once every six months for a cancer screening (because I had previously had cancer and because I am whiter than the whitest freckled ghost).

Most of us can only dream of such a lasting contribution as Let’s Encrypt.

Fuck cancer.

Did we get a black bar for this one? This was a very important person in technology.

Unfortuantely we did not, although I did email the mods and request one.
