Unrelated but I've cycled through monitors and found LG monitors to be the best. They have a reading mode which takes care of most eye strain.
That reading most had stopped 95% of my eye strain attacks.

It's a built in mode that you can navigate to with the single button on the monitor.

There's a 35 inch ultra wide that goes on Sale on Costco often. I'd recommend that one.
