I hope more people from the STEM-world do as James Lindsay has done: dive into the scientific world of Critical Race Theory, Gender Studies, Queer Theory, Fat Studies etcetera.
I have taken up the strange hobby of subscribing to research papers from those fields and I am appalled by the low quality of the 'scientific body of knowledge'.
Lindsey recently published a book where he laid out the origins of these fields tracing it back to Marxism in the sixties. The book focuses on CRT (he calls it Race Marxism).
According to many people (on both sides of the isle) these fields represent the 'long march through the institutions', and we're starting to see the effects everywhere now, in DIE initiatives, school board fights, trans vs women's rights etcetera.
