SimulaVR (www.simulavr.com -- Linux VR Desktop ported to a portable VR headset) is built over Godot. We've ran through some bugs during the development process, but being able to alter the game engine's code on the fly has been really nice.
This is very inspiring, really scratches an itch I have to build 3D text enviroments - I'll be very interested to see if I can take advantage of your text rendering code. I haven't done any 3D yet save for some very tortured HTML/CSS, and have had some decision paralysis about whether to learn nitty gritty of shaders, or the bloat of unity, or some 3D engine in between. SimulaVR is making a strong case for Godot for me now.
