It's nothing new and is know in the community for a very long time. BfR scientists should rather focus on the safety of industrial injection molding, where the smell is barely bearable and rumor sais workers grow extensive fur.
I think the important research is on the level of risk. I mean "if you stay close to a 3d printer for more than x hours/day you will be more at cancer risk", etc... also for the safety inside the offices. Like the normal printers that have rules inside the offices (at least in Europe).
