Ever talked to someone who works with technology for the government? The government's technology experience is already difficult.

The government already has e-mail inboxes with a nearly-unusable UX, messages that pass through so many unreliable contracted-out systems that they might not get delivered for several days, hideously obsolete "smart"phones... and yet this pain isn't felt by the people making the laws, just by their staff.

We're talking about a place where the Blackberry is advanced technology.

Your suggestions would involve companies dropping their government contracts out of spite, for an effect that the government would barely notice.
