I would love that…I’ve heard of this use case for AI described many times but I’ve yet to find anyone doing it! Copilot is great, but for more creative/frontend work it seems like there should be something right?
Stable Diffusion is amazing at generating art. Something similar but specialized in UI could be too. Maybe one could make a custom model, but with my lack of design knowledge I’m not even sure where to start…
It would surely save my monkey brain from pouring many more hours into looking at existing websites/UI libraries/Dribble and drawing inspiration (copying) from them.
The illusion of a dream that kept people grinding has shattered. Housing prices doubling means that it's now clear that you will never achieve financial freedom, not that most would have but now there is no hope. Without any end goal, it's pointless to give your 100%. Now people's next goal is to make best what you are gonna get, and that is to do minimum.
I use notepad and trying to move away from it. 1st there is friction creating new files, 2nd no search functionality, 3rd I've too much freedom to just create files anywhere.
WebAssembly only helps to a small degree here. SIMD support is still too limited and real multithreading will probably never be possible due to spectre vulnerability, so you are leaving about two orders of magnitude of performance on the table.
WebGL 2.0 could be a band aid fix, but it is quite limited compared to CUDA. I'd also expect a bunch of compatibility issues.
As a side note, Photopea already uses WebAssembly.
Just today I was telling my mom to not get iPhone for next phone if I can’t figure it out I don’t want to think what will happen to her… select a word? No.. place a cursor in a particular place? No.. double tap to select everything? No…
