You know, I kind-of agree with that post. There's no rules against posting "Hey HN, what do you think of this idea?" which is essentially the same thing.
I think there is value in having a consolidation of these threads, though.
I am learning Python by writing codes on a piece of paper, and then practicing in a text editor. Writing on a paper makes learning easier to committing concepts to brain.
I am learning Python. It is widely used general purpose programming language. As cited on the most websites, it is great for data analysis, visualization, scientific research, web development, automation.
I have no prior experience of any coding language, but I am grasping it very easily.
