Households introduce a lot of variables, especially marriage. In some studies it has been shown you seek higher income opportunities than you might individually.[0] This would be my assumption, at least.
Testing is necessary even for social media, not doing so is a big security threat for its users. Even apparently dumb bugs like this one can be exploited to steal important information.
Social media may not seem as important or vital as banking or healthcare, but most of our modern society depends on it. Socials are the best tools for social engineering after all.
I see your point, but if the USA didn't encourage the company to set up fab shops domestically, then it wouldn't be receiving those taxes either - but in that scenario it also wouldn't be receiving the indirect benefits of having that company operating locally.
Your personal taxes are a different matter - the nation state is not trying to court you into operating within its borders with some tempting on-paper discounts.
Or maybe you can pay 4-10x or even more the price for chips when something in the world destabilizes (remember that during covid?), was that not real money?
Libertarian types love to make models of the world that are so simplified they are totally incorrect. But hey, you'll be able to save on taxes in the good times, and starve in the streets during the bad.
I am lazy and time poor, not a liar. No need to troll if you [1], for whatever reason, take issue with the concept of remote work. You’re free to the opinion. I believe in the model based on a preponderance of the data (enterprise financial success and metrics, worker quality of life, environmental impact, etc). Probably a bit of “talking my book” [2] too if you will.
I’ll make time to have the Google Sheet cleaned up and shared here as a post.
Yeah it’s pretty crazy. The DOJ is going to start ascribing appropriate capital structures I guess. Eventually they can get everything so regulated it’s essentially state owned.
