I found dhh's comments about the London march misguided. Describing the symbol of BNP/EDL as heartwarming is particularly upsetting. It puts me off Rails, and attending conferences where he is the keynote speaker.

I wish it wasn't an X post. Can't see responses at all without an account.

I recently appointed a legal firm. Today I saw their ad embedded as copy looking for cheap clicks via google content network. Screenshot here http://portablepixels.com/images/google.png

Seems to me like Google are stooping to new lows. The ad makes me feel like the legal firm I have appointed are selling diet pills and Im minded to terminate my relationship with them. Cheap clicks can be costly.

Its a percentage increase and pretty meaningless in my opinion. I was the first employee there and Head of Technology in 2006.

From the original press release re increase: The report reveals that BeatThatQuote.com grew its monthly audience of unique visitors by 1,165% from December 2006 to December 2007. Facebook came second in percentage terms with an increase of just 781% in comparison. http://www.sourcewire.com/releases/rel_display.php?relid=369...

It's 2011 now - 2007 is like half a century ago in this field...

Anyone in particular I should address my cover letter too? My email is in my profile if that helps.

Is working remotely an option? Just asking.

Yes sure.

I'm a big fan of what they've done. Those MySociety People are really making some neat stuff.

Im surprised that people who spend more time online would be more likely to click adverts.

If you do think it might be a good idea you might want to take a look at the Enterprise Investment Scheme in the UK which provides a whole bunch of tax incentives for someone making this sort of investment. http://www.eisa.org.uk/render.aspx?siteID=1&navIDs=21,97
