I have one, and yes, much interference.

So frustrating! Not sure if it's just in team-managed projects, but they look to have fixed this, e.g Description field maintains a draft across page-loads, until you hit save now :)

I'm loving the VS Code extension[1] for this aswell, my teams have finally moved away from visio

Are you saying it doesn't exist, or just that it's not compelling?

I'm typing this comment on a phone connected to a standard monitor, running a desktop-like experience [0] and it's surprisingly usable!

Hardware - Samsung S8 (2017), generic USB-C to HDMI adapter, bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

I do this with my Samsung note 10. Also when I plug my Samsung tablet into my usb-c monitor I get a nice desktop. Lastly, purism’s phone supports phone-as-desktop as well

PinePhone as well - the PostMarketOS even shipped with a HDMI/ethernet/USB dock for this. :)

> 7. Ability to run a small chatroom for free which AFAIK Microsoft doesn't offer (its included with other Microsoft products that were paid for usually)

Looks like there's a free [0] version of teams that supports unlimited search, unlimited app integrations and meetings of up to 100 attendees. Compare to free [1] slack that has limitations of 10k searchable messages, 10 app integrations and only 1-1 meetings

Fair enough, not too surprising Microsoft can offer a limited version for free. The Microsoft free version is much more limited than you imply though. The "meetings of up to 100 attendees" are for 60 minutes maximum versus the Slack ones which have no cap. Not to mention many people use Slack + an external video chat app so they wouldn't care.

How does this compare to toggl [0]?

Also curious how Hyperlogs compares to Toggl? I use Toggl for my DevOps consulting company and it works well.

I believe toggl is confusing. It allows you to add time in a very unstructured way. Hyperlogs and much simpler and streamlined app. Its intuitive enough. You get it, get your work done and get out. No guess work, no waste of time figuring thing out.

That all said, you should give it a shot. Sign up and try it, it is free for one user.

I tried out hyperlogs and don't really see that it provides any features over existing timesheet entering solutions yet. It looks good so far and I'll be interested to see how you progress.

I disagree that it's more streamlined though. toggl's killer feature is the ability to switch between tasks with 1 click as I'm performing the work. For mine this is the big distinction between an after-the-fact timesheet data entry app like hyperlogs and an actual time-tracking app like toggl.

The majority of my interaction with toggl is via the desktop app and chrome plugin, any competitor without these integrations is a non-starter.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you're confusing Eclipse with Electron.

Was pretty cool to be able to leave your phone at home and still have full 3g coverage, especially when out running/cycling/surfing. Opera mini browser was sufficient for looking things up on the go.

Like others have mentioned, Tizen is a hot mess though. In the end the lack of a spotify app was the main pain point for me. Apple will do well to fill that gap.

Visual Studio 2013 and lower had the Code Definition window, which sounds very similar to what you are describing. It was replaced by the (possibly inferior) inline Code Peek feature in VS15.

It was most definitely not Visual Studio, it was from some startup. But thanks anyway!

I would for sure! Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Wipeout, Resident Evil, Castlevania, Final Fantasy, TOCA, Colin McRae, Soul Blade, Tomb Raider, Legacy of Kain, Crash Bandicoot, Chrono Cross, Quake 2, Red Alert, Street Fighter Alpha, Tony Hawks, Spyro, Driver, Gran Turismo.
