I like the idea of "chat is your to-do list, and your to-list is your chat", but you're website doesn't communicate this, I had to try it out to really get what the product was about.
It's annoying that I can't delete the first loops from Loopy.
I also think the app needs an easier way to navigate between loops, rather than relying on the back button.
I think the user list is not very privacy focussed, I remove it for a username search instead, rather than just listing everyone.
It looks really polished though and I think you have proved the fact that you can create a web app by yourself.
Have you made a pitch deck yet? I've done a bit of fundraising in the UK.
"chat is your to-do list, and your to-list is your chat"
OP, I think this phrase, or something like it, should be front and center of your communication effort. IMO it describes your product better than all the stuff I've read in ~5min on your sites.
It would never happen, as Google shares would drop like a bomb and give credence to the argument that the cloud isn't secure enough, but at least it would show that someone at Google cares.
It would create a landmark moment though; something that would spark more debate in both the media and with American politicians.
Do you have evidence that Larry Page or Google knew about this? How is the CEO of Google stepping down an adequate reaction to a something that Google doesn't seem to be behind?
I'm not putting any responsibility on Google's CEO that he didn't ask for when he became CEO - he is ultimately responsible for the company's actions. Leaving that amount of user data open to attack is unforgivable, regardless of who is "behind this" or how much he knew.
Secondly, the alleged attack, however it happened, is not the reason he should step down. Larry Page stepping down is going to be really bad for Google, he is one of the finest entrepreneurs of our time, and a great technologist.
He should do it to send a message.
Will their ever be more evidence about what actually happened? Probably not, but a resignation by one of the most powerful CEOs in the world will get some serious attention in the wider debate on privacy.
But like I said, the share price probably comes first...
This is a tricky one; you could still market your product without telling the world you're making money.
But what if telling the world you're making money is a great way to market your product?
Even one person knowing about your app (regardless of money) risks someone cloning it, or competition springing up.
If you think you have a chance of staying ahead of the competition (improve UI, improve design, add features, build a community, engage with clients/customers), you should probably shout about your product from the rooftops at every chance you get.
Learning front end languages is essential as an employer wants to know that you can get a site live when the hits the fan. If you can't slice up a PSD and build a basic site there MIGHT come a point when you're useless to them.
I'm self-taught and found learning HTML, CSS, JS and a bit of PHP and MySQL was more than enough to get a job in the UK.

Good luck from a fellow northener!
