This might be a little offtopic, but where can I find a list of tech conferences in Europe for the next month? I'll be in the Netherlands during the first week of february.

LWN has a calendar that has quite a few larger events https://lwn.net/Calendar/

Lanyrd is probably your best bet. You can search their listings by topic or country http://lanyrd.com/conferences/

Here's their listings for the Netherlands http://lanyrd.com/places/netherlands/

Thank you! FOSDEM 2014 in Brussels looks particularly interesting.

HN's monthly "who is hiring" threads have served me well.

Luckily you can fix the buffering behaviour with a browser extension. Look for "SmartVideo for Youtube".

That cursor makes me think that the browser has crashed/hung/is not responding.

This must be why mosh's escape sequence never worked for me (ctrl-^ or ctrl-^.)

Seems to be fixed (to use the same as SSH): https://github.com/keithw/mosh/issues/215

I'm getting a blank page on Safari. http://mikemcbrearty.com/climate/search?q=Vitória
