i’m thinking about printing a pergola. This 2 m pillar looked quite stable. Would that pillar, Vertically erected, carry a horizontal pillar of the same material? How expensive was the material used?

They’re using standard PLA last I checked (I follow both their channels on YouTube, and Ivan Miranda - whose workshop is in the picture - got a massive shipment of it).

However, I wouldn’t print anything that needs to be outside in PLA, as it can’t tolerate UV.

They’re aiming to print a one-use kayak, btw. The pillar is just a test.

if you are the controller (or data subject). ChatGPT is the Processor. Otherwise EU controller processing PII in ChatGPT have a problem now.

‘Controller’ means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

‘Processor’ means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

The dark forest theory is compelling hence it would be good not to be heard by other civilizations.

With the way things are heading it seems we as a planet are too stupid to consider the dark forest theory. If it ever came to light that we were not alone and the other planet was actively hostile 30% of the US would scream as loud as they could into megaphones in the hopes of showing that other planet "what we are made of".

not necessarily, people in dense urban areas rely on other transportations at least in EU

EU is a tiny portion of the global population (as is America)

But you’re right, increasing urbanisation globally leads to more public transport which offsets countries getting richer.

As if right wing media have a legitimate place in a democracy. It was and will only ever be a vehicle for fascism. Maybe we Europeans enjoyed proper schools with history lessons and remember how Faschism played out last time? Besides following US media is enough to know what Musk is about.

It's unfair to say that no right wing media has a right to exist. Media that is hostile to democracy should be stomped out, but because its hostile to democracy (or secretly a propaganda machine run by foreign influence), not because it's right wing.

If anything, that the classic right wing still exists, however much you might disagree with the ideology, is something to hope for.

My dad laments that "Caring about the environment used to be a Conservative position" and "We just need to take the effort to care about people who are different from us" and "I think the gun rights people take it too far and it's fine to have regulation on gun ownership".

But he didn't vote for a classic conservative. He voted for Trump.

Yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me if the vast majority are more moderate than the two-party system can account for. And that consequently, the White House might be overestimating what they have popular mandate to do.

habe you seen the Honda e?

Its cute but not particularly exciting in my opinion, what do you think?

and it's not a tenth as good looking as the concept

Unfortunately they never are.

I would have bought one had it even had a 50kwh battery, but 35kwh made it just dead in the water to me unfortunately.

AI is not mentioned. Besides, service accounts are not bots.

The collection provides a structured approach to self audit the security practice regarding non-human identities. The recent CCC showcased breach of a VW connected car repository based on the exploitation of those NHI.

I agree. A bot is a program or an application that provides some sort of functionality that appears automated or autonomous in some way. A service account could be the primary identity of a bot, but that doesn't make it a bot.

I am surprised that you have to pay for sending invoices. Thats not an issue in Germany.

The problem, as far as I see it, isn't electronic invoicing in itself, or even the format. It's the usage of the PEPPOL network. The network isn't free. Nothing is stopping anyone from creating invoices in UBL format and sending those by email (or any other means). But in countries where usage of the PEPPOL network is required, that's no longer an option.

its not about their official data collection. It is a safe assumption that TikTok app is used to spy on targeted users and their surroundings, just google it.

Ok but both Android and iOS have a good permission system where location and other data access can be highly controlled. Isn't it more prudent that the app be restricted by the OS to not have permissions it does not require? Surely the US can enforce something like that.

You don't need to directly tap that information from the phone if you have enough variety of video and an algorithm that will identify and converge on micro-genres of video based on watch time, likes, and shares.

Aside from that, Tik-Tok Shop is also a thing. So elements of the application exist where you volunteer data like location.
