What makes Magictool more privacy focused compared to other Extensions?
1- You can decide domains in which the extension will not be activated (via the "Private Domains" setting)
2- We collect minimal user information (only name and email)
3- Our code is minimal - less than 1/2 MB - since we only add the code we need
4- We don't use Google analytics and we don't load any external code when you use our extension, everything is included in the extension
5- We collect usage data (which features do you use) but we allow you to disable it from the settings, and we share what is sent to our servers with you
Yeah but if you're gonna build something, build something useful lol. Who wants an encyclopedia that returns inaccurate stuff? The whole point of an encyclopedia is that it's been reviewed by someone for accuracy
The more privacy you offer, the better.
If you manage to release a standalone app that integrates some LLM like llama (so you don't send data to OpenAI) to do the work, that'd be even better.
