I kept on wondering why I hadn't seen any of this, and then remembered that I'd installed Classic Shell start menu, which provides a Windows 7 style menu. It doesn't disable the Windows 10 menu, just hides it. Makes for a much more pleasant experience though. (No affiliation)

Does it still work reliably? I used it on a Windows 10 machine a few years ago, but then it stopped being maintained:

... which is a huge shame, as that single app alone made Windows 10 a significantly less frustrating experience.

There was one windows update around two years ago that broke it, but I just reinstalled it and haven't had any problems since.

Stolen goods can be confiscated by police without any compensation for the pawn shop. Therefore it is in their interest to know where the customer got the item from, unless the shop is acting as a fence, as in this case.

Perhaps the actual "artwork" is the auction itself, and we are all unwitting participants. Or it's just someone hoping to make some easy money.

That would be interesting. Save all the comments saying it’s a scam and maybe put them on constant scroll on the laptop’s screen. Name it Art of the Scam.

Edit: Looking at it now, this appears to actually just be a somewhat clever way to get attention for “Deep Instinct” - a company that does some sort of malware threat detection.

Actually they're getting much better. I bought some off-brand Lego from aliexpress a couple of years ago, and apart from the lack of branding I can't tell the difference, even after two years of use.

Yeah, the reviews say offbrand tires are absolute crap but that is only element that has noticeable quality issues. Not so sure about electronic/pneumatic.

I'm mainly a dinosaur for wanting audio jacks as i still use my old Sennheiser headphones that I bought in 2006, and still work perfectly. I did switch to Bluetooth headphones for a while but they fell apart after 12 months.

I feel like prices haven't moved in line with inflation, it's just planned obsolescence has moved further up the price range.

That said, I'm aware that I could buy a second hand iPhone with an audio jack if I really wanted.

There is something to be said about wired peripherals... their dependability, ease of use and lack of wasteful batteries that just end up in a landfill.
