When these software were rewritten, at that time developer are consider intelligent enough to understand Physics, mathematics etc..Now a days a Online Degree make Developers. The So called next generation of programming hide some low level optimization and developer often do not by pass them. They were written for Business application, but they use in game application. unlimited resources, operating system efficiency lost (as they suffer from same problem, as well as more security code is added to them that somewhere bottelneck it) are some other stuff that has effect on efficiency.

You will have better luck with IPv6 if needed why bother for NAT traversing . IPv6 just works without it.

Only because IPv6 doesn't need NAT theoretically. In practice, most people are stuck using it because the router doesn't hand a public-facing IP to most clients. When building an application, you still need it.

2010? Samy (author of pwnat) is the person jailed for hacking MySpace using this Code. He write this code in 2005 or 2007 something, He upload to his site in 2010, but this code is very old, and I was the first one to compile it on windows back than. It works, but for limited devices back then. It is very respectable code in itself.

He didn't "[hack] MySpace using this code". He just used XSS.

He's still my hero though!

Wondering if it is just fun project or there is real world application for this idea?

Mostly for fun. I'd be surprised if there were any real life applications for this!

Agree, I have integrate lots of API and paypal is oldest of all and they know what to do. Yes since they introduce braintree they get lot more options and it get confusing when searching on internet. But if you follow their guide aka follow Composer based installation of API it will become relaitvely easy to find information.

You can integrate some local bank API for Credit Card Payment. it might not help much but 10-15% payment came from them and save your some money. I always suggest to have both options on website for coverage.

I am working on it at the moment, but it is extremely hard. You have to communicate with them (through email) and describe what you want to do. They have too many requirements (like you should have the icons of MasterCard and Visa on your website) and it is even harder to convince them to allow you accept payments from the whole world (they usually only let you accept payments within your country).

With PayPal, everything is automatic. You can configure everything yourself and accept payments in no time, without having to communicate with an actual person from PayPal.

In Spain, the setup process is the same as when you are asking for a pos machine, you usually have to open an account with them. You get the same conditions than with the pos machine, something like 0.50% and 0.25€ fixed price, with discounts if you have great volume.

So they just refused my application for a credit card payment gate :( without describing a reason why.

Well a software is reflection of present working. Write any software, it remain that way if your business remain same for 100yrs. Which means if you don't grow, scale, and keep using 100yrs old tech and still survive in market. If not, than who will use it? You still can run PacMan on modern PC, and it is what 40+ yrs for pacman ? But how many plays it now? Software cannot and shouldn't be immortal. The always Evolve and adjust to environment. They don't remain constant.

even HTML cannot communicate with JS, you are talking about collective Web page behaviour running in JS/CSS/HTML/Browser. CSS is standalone, it doesn't have logical brain. It don't think. That is part of JS. I don't agree with your idea, if we add logic to all HTML and CSS then it is like batman doing killing.

Well, they works best in IE because at that time there was IE only. Netscape navigator the other browser charge user, Firefox was just a beginning, as they want to take down IE because of their Navigator failure. It was great because it support some dynamic content. It was the first step to software like Dreamweaver as it bring concept in place. Having said that it was ugly design and I never like them even back then..

Netscape never charged users. Perhaps you’re thinking of Opera.

The reasons IE won over Netscape are many, but bundling with dominant OS and embracing/extending standards such that sites only worked in IE was a big part of it. Heck, there was a whole antitrust case about just that.

No Netscape would officially cost you US$49 until 1998.

"Officially", Netscape had a "free trial" for 90 days. In reality, I personally don't know one person who actually paid. Some companies did buy corporate licenses.

Wow, I had no recollection of that. My mistake.

Here's an article stating that Netscape charged $49. It was in PC Magazine October 22, 1996

@dang can you edit/delete the parent comment? No need to spread lies here!

it is one of those thing you do because you can do that. If you try to open the GIF only it won't work well and if you try to save it as image it won't work.

for me it has no real application that I can think of, it consume lot of bandwidth and processing even for small size gif.

good knowledge for developer, I certainly cannot even think in that line. But no use of it in current form.
