I was about to sign up with my google account, but the app requested permission to allow beeminder to .. view my email messages and settings. Is that a mistake?
It's because of our gmailzero.com integration where you can mind your Gmail inbox. But, yes, it's super dumb that we don't separate out those permissions and are freaking people out by asking for them just to sign up...
I do a Beeminder goal that uses RescueTime to measure time spent on Coursea/learning websites for an hour or so per week per site (doing 2 sites ATM). Work the rest.
I did this with Sendy/SES and switched back to MailChimp. You can possibly watch your inbox rate plummet with your costs if you do this, maybe they improved SES since two years ago though. "You get what you pay for"
So a regulated market is a market and an unregulated market is a...ponzi scheme.
That was a terrible article, by the way. Cyptocurrencies flow in and out of exchanges constantly. If Coinbase makes any sort of guarantee that Bitcoin will go up in price, then what you argue would have merit, and Coinbase should be reprimanded.
As for Strip accepting your coin account- have you ever tried? If you can satisfy all the regulation requirement of being a commodity exchange (AML etc.), they might actually accept your application.
As for utility of a commodity, unless you are a large integrated circuit manufacturer, gold would have no utility as well.
Other than it is shiny and looks nice, gold is useless to everyday live.
We had looked at PowerInbox before but can't remember why we hadn't given them a try. Hadn't heard of LiveIntent. I'll look into both of them a bit more. Thanks!
PowerInbox ads can be a bit spammy. LiveIntent has a more strict contract so keep an eye on the terms though but they are the largest ad email network to my knowledge so advertisers are likely spammy.
Thank you Joe for saving me countess hours and from social media addiction. You certainly left a great great legacy and your family should be very proud.
