there are others tricky time issues with staging/prod parallel branching models too, the most recent merge (to prod) contains older content, so time slips .. maybe for most people it's obvious but it caused me confusion a few times to compare various docker images

> the most recent merge (to prod) contains older content

Can't that also happen with a rebase? Isn't it an (all too easy to make) error any time you have conflicting changes from two different branches that you have to resolve? Or have I misunderstood your scenario?

I had similar impressions with multiple setup:

    - dell p2 300 win95
    - early core duo era with linux 2.4 (some kali linux image)
in both cases there was something very odd, the crude os design (no parallel systemd etc), gui toolkit and desktop environment (no compositor, glitchy) wasn't an issue and the low amount of lag felt very good. it's the same feeling when driving 90s cars, the drive feels directly connected to the whole, it's cruder but it feels better

and saying this as a fan of recent linux kernel and systemd parallelism with the crazy cpu over ssd speed.. i was utterly surprised

I'm betting a very large loading time.

operated by albert travel. aptronymy strikes again

Maybe a tiny difference though is that a phone is moved all day long, with a lot of people around to mess with or pick it. Your laptop is a bit larger and your desktop .. well is behind your door. But yeah ultimately a bank should not rely on phone OS to have security.

man what a rollercoaster for them, i hope they can rejoin quick

a modern lcd is also a wonder but it's infinitely more suited to automation

Cutting sugar is worth trying for many. Even for a few days. You really sense your brain realign on more subtle tastes. And when you finally eat the usual snack or pastry you can feel the sudden overload of sugar (or at least your brain response to it). something you probably never did when sugar intake was high

was this a 10x gdp vibe-loss ?

I felt a disturbance in the force, as if millions of GPU cooling fans suddenly spun down.

to the point that sadly, science = f(economy)
