Vanguard is really good at listening to feedback and using that to inform fixes to the various web and mobile applications. So if you're using the UI and see a survey, you should absolutely submit this feedback. They listen to it, and effect that change quite quickly on modernized pages.

I provide them feedback in their surveys and through unprompted methods at least once a year about how much I detest the new web UI. Don't worry :)

There has been an immense push to modernize the Vanguard site and the underlying architecture. This has been an enormous effort over multiple years. Since Vanguard was always a "no-branches" company, it's always been web-based. So, as a result, much of the site was built at the "bleeding edge of the time" but they are now in a position where that needs to be fully modernized.

Vanguard's architecture is enormous, but they are getting closer and closer to fully modernizing the site and retiring legacy completely. Its something that has been happening and will continue to happen over the next few years.

From my experience actually yes many are if you are a paid subscriber. Free services certainly have slow or non-existent support models. But IMO a service owned by a multi-billion dollar company should at least be responding to their support tickets from paid users within 5 business days.

Maybe I should change mine as well... GithubCustomerServiceIsTrash2

Curious what the use cases for iOS 10 are? This isn't a criticism of your comment but more just wanting to learn why a user might still be using iOS 10?

iOS 10 is the final version which runs on 32-bit devices, and there's a decent number of those out there still. Xcode 14 has dropped support for 32-bit iOS, which by extension means it can't support iOS 10.

I would like to know this as w. I would have thought most people (iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus) on iOS 10 can get iOS 12?

Apple does not limit minimal version of iOS during the submission process - which is a signal that this version is supported.

By removing the debugging ability it's almost pushing the responsibility onto publishers/developers to say "hey, we don't support iOS 10 anymore - we are these bad guys".

In a case when we would like to provide the best possible experience to all players (even if the market share is less than 1%) - I consider as a regression, an unnecessary change and complication.

Not responsive. Unusable. /s

I would love this as a package on Atom. Would download that in a skinny minute.

Man, if this is true I am going to be very very disappointed. I am very happy with Windows 10 so far. My main computer is my gaming machine which I have Windows 10 installed on. I find it very hard to believe that they would require a new install for new hardware. I mean just think, so when you need more ram or you want to add a second GPU, you need to buy windows again?!?!

From what I have read it is only tied to the motherboard as others have pointed out.

But to be clear the support conversation appears to be related to the free upgrade process. Sounds like the guy completed the free upgrade, swapped hardware out, and now he can't reinstall Windows 10. Right or wrong, I can actually see Microsoft doing this. The free upgrade is just that, an upgrade. It is intended to install only as an upgrade on a system currently running an earlier version of Windows. If a hard drive was replaced and you needed to install Windows 10, you would have to either (a) install the full version - which would require a purchase; or (b) install an earlier version and go through the upgrade process again. The problem there is that Microsoft may only allow one upgrade per license key, in which case your previous upgrade voided that license key for future upgrades.

It would be similar to having Windows XP running on your system and wanting to upgrade to Windows 7. You go out purchase the upgrade license (cheaper) so you can perform the upgrade. A few months later your hard drive crashes, you try to install from the upgrade license and are out of luck. You need to go through the upgrade process again or have a full version available.
